Are you completely new to the market - Who are you and where are you from?
We have been active in the event industry for 22 years and can look back on a successful past as an organizer of club events, festivals or concert tours with over 5000 of our own events. Since 2015, we have diginights.com offered ticketing software on our platform and used it to support over 1200 customers in ticketing. With ditix.io, we present a completely new development and pursue a completely new approach. Software for self-use instead of ticket providers - because due to the increasing digital competence on the part of organizers and buyers, the role of a ticket provider as an intermediary is no longer up to date. ditix.io helps organizers sell tickets directly to their visitors at unbeatable conditions, making their events more profitable. In this way, organizers generate considerable additional income and collect all funds directly into their own payment accounts.
What is the difference between you and other ticketing providers?
Event ticket software for self-use instead of ticket provider - because we think: Due to the increasing digital competence on the part of organizers and buyers, the role of a ticket provider as an intermediary is no longer up to date. We are not a ticketing provider, but provide the organizer with ultra-modern software for ticket brokerage, with which he can sell tickets directly to his audience. The organiser receives the ticket revenues and pre-sale fees directly and without detours to the account of his payment provider.
You are from Germany, why do you have a .io domain and not a .de domain?
The domain extension .io is originally a country-code top-level domain that was assigned to the British Indian Ocean Territory.
The .io domain is particularly popular in the IT sector and among tech start-ups. This is primarily due to the abbreviation I/O, which stands for input/output in computer science. In this way, we can give an indication of the thematic orientation of the project in advance in the communication.
What does the flat rate rate mean?
Our flat-rate tariff is aimed at organisers or operators of leisure facilities with a high ticket volume or high-priced tickets. With a monthly lump sum payment, our software can be used with all functions. All funds will be settled directly with you as the seller. We do not charge any additional fees.
How long does it take to set up?
The setup of a ticket shop is fully automated. Once you have all the information you need, you can be online with your shop within 15 minutes.
Can I get a quote for use?
Our prices are regulated in our tariffs. We therefore do not send out individual offers for use. ditix is SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) - and can be used at the specified prices and packages.
Costs and fee model
What is the cost per ticket?
We work with a prepaid system without a contract. The price per ticket credit starts at 29 cents and goes up to 24 cents the more ticket credits you top up in advance. The ticket credits have no expiration date and can be purchased for several years in advance.
What are the transaction fees?
Transaction fees depend on the payment service provider you connect. PayPal and Stripe are available for this. For Stripe we can provide you with a particularly attractive special conditions (incl. Apple Pay, Google Pay, and much more), which amounts to approx. 1.4% + 20 cents.
Can fees be passed on to the end customer?
As an organizer, you can set your own advance booking fees at ditix. This allows you to cover the system costs and the costs of the payment service provider. At the same time, you have the opportunity to generate additional income.
Payment processing and cash flow
Will I really receive the funds directly and directly into my account?
Yes. By connecting your own PayPal and/or Stripe payment account, the funds will be transferred to your accounts directly when you purchase your ticket. So during the sales phase, the purchases are billed directly to you. With the payment service provider, it is collected based on your settings and then paid out to your bank account on a daily, weekly or monthly basis. We only provide the software with which you sell tickets directly to your audience.
How does accounting work - Do I have to record every single transaction in accounting?
No, this is not necessary. The individual ticket sales are handled via Stripe or PayPal. For accounting, incoming payments can be compacted booked . This means that you can record the accumulated payouts that arrive on your Stripe or PayPal account as a collective entry in your accounting. For reconciliation and testing, our monthly financial reporting is available to you, which clearly summarizes all relevant transactions, fees and payouts. This allows you to easily check the collective postings and compare them with the actual incoming payments.
What payment options do you offer?
By connecting your own payment provider, you can decide for yourself which payment methods you want to offer. With Stripe you can, for example: Apple Pay, Google Pay, Direct Debit, Credit Card and much more as a payment option. With PayPal As a payment service provider, you have the option of making payments by ApplePay, Direct Debit or Credit Card .
Technical integration and shop design
Do I get my own ticket shop with ditix?
Yes, with ditix you get your own ticket shop with your own individual URL, in which only your own events are sold – without third-party events.
How do I integrate the ticket shop on my website?
Basically, you get your own, free shop URL, which you set yourself. In addition, there is the option of easily integrating the ticket shop into systems such as WordPress or construction kits. The integration is done via a code snippet (iFrame/Script).
Can I create a seating plan?
Seat bookings and seating plans are available to you at no extra cost. ditix offers you an editor to flexibly design seating plans yourself, create tables and assign them to different price categories.
How customizable is the ticket design?
The layout is standardized. Wallet files are becoming more and more popular, which is why PDF tickets are becoming more and more unimportant. However, sponsor logos and texts can also be added to the PDF.
Admission, box office, contract and support
How does the admission control work?
We provide you with a free scanning app for smartphones (iOS and Android). For poor network coverage, the scan app offers offline functionality that synchronizes as soon as a connection is restored.
Can I also sell tickets at the box office?
For cash payers, ditix offers an evening/day box office function via a browser mask. You can use this to sell on site and print out the tickets (e.g. on normal DinA4 printers, Boca printers or on receipt printers). If required, TSE-compliant billing can be carried out via the connection of a Tillhub POS system.
Is there a contractual commitment or minimum term?
We want to convince all around with ditix and therefore do not rely on any contracts or terms. The cooperation is based solely on the terms and conditions - you do not commit yourself in any way. Our model is "contract-free" (except for the flat rate) and is based on the prepaid credit (ticket credits), which does not expire.
How and when do I contact support?
If you have a question, you can find an answer to everything in the Help Center. In addition, chat support (bot and staff) is available to you. We are also available via chat on weekends in case of emergencies.
